Designed by Nike, this shirt is fondly remembered for marking a historical turning point: it was the away kit Arsène Wenger wore when he debuted as the club's manager. The design featured a bright yellow base with two large navy blue panels on the sides and sleeves, a classic blue polo collar, and the legendary JVC sponsorship. It was the armor with which Arsenal began to display their revolutionary dynamic football, worn on rival grounds by the genius Dennis Bergkamp, an unstoppable Ian Wright on his way to breaking goal records, and the rocky midfield axis led by a very young Patrick Vieira.
