Designed by Adidas, this away jersey is one of the most elegant and cult pieces of the late 20th century, remembered for its impeccable design and for belonging to one of the most dramatic and dominant seasons in the history of the Bayer club. The jersey featured a clean bright white background, but adopted the identity of the home kit from that year by incorporating a majestic horizontal navy blue chest stripe, framed by two red lines, over which the mythical Opel sponsorship was cleanly printed. The brand's three stripes ran down the sleeves in blue, finished with a very stylized V-neck.
