Designed by Kappa, this shirt is one of the greatest cult jewels from the club's nineties era and an absolute icon of British vintage fashion, famous for its striking colours and distinctly Italian aesthetic.

The jersey featured a base of vertical stripes in dark navy blue and bright neon yellow, separated by thin white lines. The design stood out for the iconic and massive Kappa logo with the "two people backing away from each other" repeated in a band along both shoulders and sleeves, in addition to an elegant blue polo collar and the classic Brother sponsorship in white.

Although sportingly it was one of the club's darkest seasons (culminating in the painful relegation to the third division), this shirt became a timeless myth. It was immortalized by the talent of the Georgian Georgi Kinkladze, the grit of Paul Dickov, the dedication of Gerard Wiekens and, above all, for being the fetish garment that the band Oasis (with brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher at the helm, die-hard City fans) popularized in concerts and photo shoots of the time.
