Designed by Adidas, this shirt is, without a doubt, the most historical and sacred in the life of the Millonario club, as it was the armor with which absolute glory was achieved for the first time. The jersey featured the traditional and immaculate diagonal red stripe crossing the chest over a clean white background, but its most distinctive and revolutionary feature was the crest: the iconic "River Lion" (designed by the famous cartoonist Caloi), which replaced the traditional crest on the chest. The design was completed by three red stripes on the shoulders, a white V-neck, and the memorable sponsorship of Fate Prestaciones.

This legendary shirt was etched in the history of world football by dressing River Plate's perfect season, in which they won the club's first Copa Libertadores (1986) against América de Cali and, months later in Tokyo, the Intercontinental Cup against Steaua Bucharest, in addition to the local championship. This unrepeatable feat was achieved by the eternal heroes led by "Bambino" Veira: the magic of the Uruguayan Antonio Alzamendi, the genius and goals of Norberto "El Beto" Alonso, the grit of captain Américo Gallego, the solvency of Oscar Ruggeri in defense, and the historic saves of "Mono" Nery Pumpido.
