Designed by Olympic (the in-house brand that dressed the Eagles in the mid-nineties), this shirt is an absolute cult piece, full of collecting and nostalgia, representing the aesthetic transition of Portuguese football. The shirt featured a vibrant fiery red background, decorated with a subtle pattern of watermarks with the club's crest repeated throughout the fabric. The great identity detail was the three vertical white stripes that originated from the left shoulder, a very nineties knitted polo collar with red and white details, and the iconic sponsorship of the tyre brand Mabor on the chest.

This imposing armour dressed a season of enormous demand at the Estádio da Luz, where the club reached the Champions League quarter-finals, being immortalised by the class in the midfield of João Vieira Pinto, the debut of a very young Edílson, the goals of the Argentine Claudio Caniggia, the strength of the central defender Hélder Cristóvão and the leadership of the goalkeeper Michel Preud'homme.
