Designed by Nike for the France '98 World Cup, this jersey is a masterpiece of 90s minimalism and one of the most iconic for the Oranje. It featured a base of the traditional and vibrant Clockwork Orange with an elegant black and white V-neck polo collar, a color scheme also repeated in the thin trim on the sleeves. The design stood out for the clean look of its fabric and the imposing black lion of the KNVB crest encased in a white circle on the chest. It was the sacred armor with which Guus Hiddink's team reached the semi-finals, displaying total and unforgettable football, immortalized forever by the legendary and improbable control-and-three-touch golazo by Dennis Bergkamp against Argentina in the quarter-finals, in addition to the performances of Edgar Davids, Patrick Kluivert, and the De Boer brothers.
