Designed by Puma for the European Championship in Poland and Ukraine 2012, this jersey masterfully blended modern performance with classic Italian tailoring. The elastic featured the traditional azzurro blue with a sophisticated 3D sublimated geometric print on the chest, but its most distinctive element was an elegant retro-inspired flat polo collar with green, white, and red (tricolore) details on the placket and cuffs. With a body-hugging fit under USP technology, it was the armor with which Cesare Prandelli's Nazionale played spectacular football and reached the tournament's grand final, forever etched in the fans' memories by Mario Balotelli's iconic and imposing shirtless celebration after demolishing Germany in the semifinals, in addition to the masterclasses from Andrea Pirlo, the saves from Gianluigi Buffon, and the class of Antonio Cassano.
