Designed by the German brand Adidas for the 1988 West Germany European Championship, this jersey is a sacred treasure of Irish football culture. It has incalculable historical value, as it was the kit with which the Republic of Ireland debuted for the first time in the final phase of a major international tournament.

The jersey featured a vibrant and classic shamrock green as its base, made of a high-quality satin fabric that presented an elegant pattern of vertical watermark lines, very characteristic of the late eighties. The design was perfectly complemented by the three Adidas stripes in pristine white on the shoulders and an iconic white polo-cut collar with green trim, in addition to the imposing federation crest with the traditional shamrock on the chest.
