Designed by Umbro, this iconic jersey went down in history as the official armour of the Spurs in the historic inaugural season of the newly formed Premier League.
The kit maintained the clean traditional white base of White Hart Lane, but introduced a revolutionary graphic element for the time: two striking blocks of abstract geometric figures in navy blue on the shoulders, subtly integrating the word "Spurs". The navy blue polo collar featured a hidden button placket and white trim, displaying on the chest the classic cockerel crest over the ball and the legendary sponsorship of Holsten.
It was the kit in which the North London club had a great cup campaign, reaching the semi-finals, immortalised by the killer instinct of the lethal Teddy Sheringham (top scorer in that Premier League), the flair and class of Darren Anderton, the magic of Nick Barmby and the leadership of captain Gary Mabbutt.
