Designed by Reebok in their first season as the club's technical sponsor, this jersey is one of the greatest works of art from the 90s and an absolute icon of English football vintage culture.

The kit broke traditional molds by featuring a base of elegant and pristine cream (or ivory) color. The design stood out for its imposing elastic polo collar in vibrant red with white details, and for a spectacular repeated pattern of the Liver Bird crest textured and embossed (jacquard) all over the fabric. Additionally, it sported an oversized central crest and the mythical Carlsberg sponsorship adapted to the kit's colors.

It was the away armor with which Roy Evans' Reds displayed spectacular attacking football that came close to the Premier League title, immortalized by the worldwide consecration of a very young Michael Owen, the goals of the lethal Robbie Fowler, the magic of Steve McManaman, and the elegance of Jamie Redknapp.
