Designed by Nike, this jersey recycled the design and panels of the previous season's blue away kit, but changing the colors to pay an alternative tribute to the 1968 European Cup final. The jersey featured a pristine white base combined with royal blue details on the polo collar, sleeves, and AIG sponsorship, also maintaining the embroidered crest with the commemorative inscription for the 40th anniversary of that first European feat. It was the elegant ceremonial armor used in specific Premier League and Champions League matches, remembered for being the last white jersey worn by Cristiano Ronaldo in his first spell at Old Trafford, accompanied by the power of Wayne Rooney, the class of Ryan Giggs, and the solidity of Paul Scholes.
