Designed by Lotto, this jersey is one of the most extravagant, curious, and cult rarities in the club's history, as it radically broke with the traditional color palette of the rossoneri. The design featured a bright blue base —a shade more typical of the Italian national team or their eternal rival— adorned with a subtle satin geometric graphic pattern on the fabric, an elegant black polo collar, and Opel's sponsorship in white. It was a very limited edition kit that the team wore in some UEFA Cup matches and friendlies, dressing legends such as George Weah, Roberto Baggio, Paolo Maldini, and Franco Baresi in one of San Siro's most unique chromatic decisions.
