Designed by Pony, this shirt marked the beginning of a new aesthetic era for the Spurs when they changed technical brands, becoming a much-remembered design for the transition into the late 90s.

The kit featured the traditional crisp white base of White Hart Lane, but stood out with its imposing, thick navy blue polo collar with a central white stripe and elastic lace-up closure. The short sleeves were finished with a thick elastic trim matching the collar, and the fabric incorporated a subtle satin sheen. In addition, the club maintained its iconic Hewlett-Packard (HP) sponsorship in blue on the chest.

It was the home armor with which Tottenham fought in the Premier League, immortalized by the lethal Teddy Sheringham's goal-scoring instinct, Darren Anderton's right wing, midfielder Jason Dozzell's deployment, and Sol Campbell's defensive solidity.
